Lucky Glider Rescue & Sanctuary wants everyone to be able to learn about our animals and support our work, including people who use assistive technology.

Our goal
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- We use clear page structure with headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link.
- Menus, buttons and video players work with a keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons have been checked for color contrast.
- Images have text alternatives.
- Animations are turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The site works on phones, tablets and desktops and supports browser zoom.
- We test pages with automated accessibility checks and keyboard-only navigation.
Known limitations
- Third-party content: the donation forms (Give Lively), videos (YouTube) and the map on our Contact page (Google Maps) are provided by other companies, and we cannot fully control how accessible they are. You can also donate or get directions by contacting us directly.
- Older posts: some older posts have images whose descriptions just repeat the post title, and some videos may not have accurate captions. We are improving these over time.
