It’s always fascinating to watch donkeys performing their dirt bath ritual…
First, one donkey almost always stands guard. The guard donkey (this time BonBon) will stand facing away from the dirt bath area and keep watch.
Second, a first donkey will approach the bath and take a roll or two.
Third, another donkey will approach and ask the first donkey to suggest: “c’mon get out of the bath, it’s my turn.” Then the second donkey takes its bath.
It’s typical for the first donkey to roll to take the guard position so they can all participate
